WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN YOUR 1ST CLASS?

  • Feeling nervous is completely normal: Most people feel a bit unsure before their first class, but the nerves usually disappear within 10 minutes.

  • No experience needed: You don’t need to be fit, flexible, or have done martial arts before. Our classes are designed for beginners and we’ll guide you every step of the way.

  • Wear something comfortable: A t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms or gym shorts are perfect. We train barefoot on mats — no special gear needed for your first session.

  • Just bring water and a positive attitude: We’ll provide any equipment you might need, so you don’t have to worry about buying anything upfront.

  • You’ll be welcomed at the door: We’ll introduce you to your instructor, give you a quick tour, and help you settle in before class starts.

  • You’ll be partnered with someone supportive: We pair beginners with experienced, friendly partners who’ll help you learn — no ego, no pressure.

  • Go at your own pace: There’s no pressure to keep up. We encourage everyone to listen to their body and take breaks when needed.
